PUBLIC SPEAKING
First featured as a star Department of State speaker,
Sanjuan continued giving hundreds of speeches during his entire government
career. He has appeared as a witness at over 250 Congressional hearings,
52 times as a principal administration witness. He has continued his
speaking activities since leaving government, appearing as a commencement
speaker on several occasions, as well as before World Affairs Councils
throughout the country and as a guest lecturer.
Sanjuan is fluent and can write in Spanish, French and
Russian, besides English. He is also fluent in German, Italian,
Portuguese, Gallego (northwestern Spain) and can navigate in Polish and
Serbo-Croatian.
Sanjuan is a popular radio commentator on the Whitney
network, WVOX-AM in New York state. His program, "Strategic Ideas" takes
up issues in the news that appear distorted, misrepresented or hyped, and
tries to get to the truth beneath the lies.
At present, he is a proud resident of Mount Vernon, NY,
one of the few successfully integrated residential areas in Westchester
County.
